Jean-Pierre Fromage (Ace Karaoke Crew Manager / Promoter)
Johnny Maki learned the art of Karaoke by serenading customers at his Grandfather’s French bistro / cheese shop in his home town of Winnemucca, Nevada. While working at the shop Johnny mysteriously picked up a French accent as well as a voracious appetite for cheese and woman. At the age of 20 Johnny had his name legally changed to Jean-Pierre Fromage. Around that time, Jean-Pierre got involved in competitive Karaoke. When asked why he got involved, he says “the ladies.” In fact, women are the motivating factor in almost every decision Jean Pierre makes. The romantic in Ace Karaoke crew, Jean-Pierre speaks only through the language of love.
Style: Jean-Pierre always singles out a girl in the audience during every performance and puts a romantic spin on every tune he sings. It is rumored that his French accent was acquired after watching “Green Card” in his Grandfathers shop. “The accent gets the ladies” he says.
